Sucre
Blog services are resumed! We crossed the Chile border yesterday and are staying in a fabulous hotel that has wifi. My last couple of days will be here – time has flown. Anyway … back to the blog. The diary continues chronologically, so you will have to wait to see the Bolivian landscape and details of Fran’s special birthday!
Next stop was La Paz to Sucre – the capital of Bolivia. The flight was an hour long (Boeing 737-300 for pilot community). Amazing landscape.
Sucre is a very pretty city – smaller (350,000 people), quieter and prettier than La Paz. Also distinctly less international – very little English spoken so we are definitely challenged with any sort of conversation. Google translate to the rescue! First impressions of the city …
As it’s Sunday, there was live music and dancing in the main square – wonderful colourful display – eat your heart out ‘strictly’!
If it weren’t for poorly leg, would definitely don my dancing shoes!
It looks so good; am aiming to join you!
